The most powerful inspiration to his beautiful
watercolor paintings are his true love for his late wife and a strong belief in God. In pursuit of real beauty,
Han tries to transfer various subjects to his canvas from both an active and inactive world to the imaginative and real world.
Han says, "The infinite world of painting reflects God's gift of real beauty." Ironically, Han was born in Osaka,
Japan in 1938 at a time of chaos and prelude to World War II, however, his watercolor seascapes and oil portraits reflect
only the beauty in this wolrd. He feels the energy one receives from real beauty is transferred to all areas of one's life.
Gifted and talented in paintings and craft, he won prizes from numerous student contests, and remarkably, won the first prize
in the first Korean national painting contest with a broken brush he picked up from the ground. Following a move to the United
States, he studied fine arts at the Minneapolis Art Institute, and latter graphic design at the Denver Business college in
order to complete his childhood dream of becoming an artist who can create real beauty. He graduated with top honors. Han
appreciates Hawaii more than anywhere else in this world for giving him the chance of lifetime. Han's excitement and appreciation
of God's gift of beauty guide his hand as he touches each canvas with his brush. Han is the owner of the Han's Gallery. He
actively paints everyday and likes to interact with visitors to his gallery. He sold
over 300 original watercolor paintings since July, 2009 at the Waikiki Zoo Fence. His granddaughter entered Yale this
year and is studying arts history and law..
